Not able to delete comments

Apr 20, 2009 at 12:06 PM
I have added few set of peopel to : Rating - Define Rating Moderators area. But the delete option is available only aganist few comments. How can I delete the comments now? If I want to reinstall/Update the entire package what should I do? People have already started using the Rating feature in 2-3 lists.

Hi,

I don't understand your problem....The delete option is only available when there are comments. If you see "No Comment", there is no delete option which is normal since there is no comment....

Add a screenshot to clarify.

Hi Stephane,

Thanks a ton for the quick reply. It was my mistake. I throught that a full record can be deleted. Now I understood how it works.

I have one more query. When I click on "View list vote report" inside List Settings, I get "Unknown Error". This happens also at the 2 links provided under Site Settings Too. "View web ratings", "View page ratings". Can you pl. let me know how do I overcome this issue?

Rajeev

Hi,

Strange...Are u using the last version? I cannot reproduce this behavior. What's the URL in your browser? Usually "Unknown Error" means that the link isn't valid and that you refer to a non-existing page....

Just let me know :).

Strange, it looks all right! You should check whether the pages really exist on the server. They should be located in 12\TEMPLATE\LAYOUTS. They are deployed automatically by the solution but you might have encountered a problem during deployment.

Check if the pages exist and re-deploy the solution if not...

Otherwise, you'll need to look at the ULS in 12\logs\ to see what's wrong.

Did you install the latest version?

Hi,

It's probably because you didn't activate the application feature "Rating resource files"
