Help with number of votes in rating

Mar 16, 2009 at 8:26 PM
I created a calulated number column (Number of votes) and added the syntax provided in the help document to show the number of votes.  In addition, I created a view to show the results and in the column it shows #VALUE! instead.    Vote Results is the rating column.  Any help is appreciated.  Thanks.

=IF([Vote Results]<>"",TRIM(MID([Vote Results],5,(FIND("vote(s)",[Vote Results])-5))),0)

You're right! This is actually because you have to replace "vote(s)" by "rating(s)" and it's gonna be ok. Actually, I need to fix the documentation about that.

This formula must be adapted according to the language of the current web (English, French or Dutch and soon Spanish) because the word "rating(s)" will be translated accordingly

That did it.  Thanks.

Any idea how to get the column to sort correctly? I think it may be treating the numbers as text or something even though I set the type as number because even if I have it set to sort descending, it puts 9 before 10. Thoughts?
